Jacquelyn collaborates and consults professionally with ensembles and individual artists in the classroom, workshop setting, or one-on-one.

Jacquelyn’s experience and intrigues as a practitioner and years of passionate study of the craft of storytelling infuse her work with performers, writers, and directors across mediums and genres.


Jacquelyn is on the acting faculty of the Atlantic Acting School in New York City, where she is a Master Teacher of Practical Aesthetics.

She taught Script Analysis for Atlantic’s NYU Studio, working intensively with the Tisch School of the Arts undergraduate actors for nearly fifteen years. She directed many NYU/Tisch and Conservatory student productions, including The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek by Naomi Wallace, Icarus’s Mother by Sam Shepard, Blue Kettle by Caryl Churchill, Family Album by Noël Coward, and the Atlantic For Kids production of Strega Nona at the Linda Gross Theater.

Jacquelyn created the class Moment Lab, a study of chasing the sincere and unplanned moment in performance, focused on heightening visceral engagement, spontaneous play, and specific connection between actors. She oversaw the implementation of the Moment Lab as core curriculum across all conservatory programs at the Atlantic Acting School.

In 2016, she brought Moment Lab abroad for the first time, when she co-taught a Practical Aesthetics Acting Intensive with Anya Saffir at Brave Studios in Melbourne, Australia.


In of 2013, Jacquelyn was invited to the Williamstown Theater Festival, where she created and led a month-long performance and devising workshop for the Apprentice Program titled Radical Presence Laboratory.


Jacquelyn teaches performance and writing workshops throughout the country and internationally, including: The United States Department of State; The Austin Film Festival; Hollins University M.F.A. Dance Residency in Berlin, Germany; The Susan Marshall Dance Company; Brooklyn College; NYU Gallatin; Boston University; London’s Central Film School; and Improv Olympic West, Los Angeles. She was the Pre-Production Directing Consultant to Elizabeth Wood for her feature film, White Girl.  

Now based in Los Angeles, Jacquelyn works as a freelance consultant to directors and writers, and coaches actors for theater, film, and television.
